I strated the pet portraits paintings, as a demostration for my water color class. I showed them how to combine water media with color pecils. Chamois portrait was the first one, and than, I could not leave the rest of our pets neglected, so Kelsey was second and so on. Than I took some commissions, and so it is.
I was photos of the animal, you ty to work from a live dog, oh yes, they will definitly sit still. So I take the pictures, many many pictures, and combine them for a final portrait. I use inks, water color and color pencils, and work on water color paper and illustration boards.
